ECSV Has Multiple Expressions of Interest!
For Families
The best time to build a better future is in a child’s first years, and we are proud to steward the process.
Thank you for being part of the Educare California at Silicon Valley (ECSV) family and trusting us to guide your child through their first educational experiences. In order to continue providing the best possible education to the children and families of Santee, ECSV is restructuring its behind-the-scenes business model.
While the business structure of ECSV will be changing, your children’s experiences won’t be. ECSV will remain open through the transition, and families will always have a childcare option here. Our number one priority is maintaining the best possible care for all of the families of Santee.
In the FAQ below, we’ll hopefully answer many of your questions—and if not, don’t hesitate to contact us . As we have new updates, we’ll share them here, so stay tuned.
Curious what changes at Educare California at Silicon Valley mean for your child and family?
No. What is changing is the behind-the-scenes way business is done. Our on-site services will continue, and we hope this plan sets us on a path to make them even better.
Families will always have a childcare option here; this site was purpose-built for early childhood education. Our number one priority is ensuring the best possible education for the children and families we serve, and that priority is unwavering. We’re embarking on this restructuring to ensure that we can continue serving children and families well into the future.
Is Educare California at Silicon Valley closing?
Families who are currently enrolled in a SCCOE classroom and who continue to qualify will continue to have an option at ECSV. We will continue to keep our families updated throughout the process and share relevant information as it is available.
Will my child still have a slot?
We want to ensure every year the teacher you have is your favorite teacher! The early childhood field is dynamic, and skilled teachers do sometimes pursue other opportunities. However, our goal is always to retain our stellar staff and maintain relationships with all our important partners to offer the best possible education to the children and families we serve.
Will my favorite teacher still be here?
The organization is undergoing some changes to behind-the-scenes administration, but our intention is that you and your child won’t experience any change at all to the high-quality early education and supports you’ve come to know at ECSV.
How will this restructuring impact my child’s care and education?
The field of early learning has changed dramatically since Educare Silicon Valley was founded in 2015. The pandemic upended our operations and the entire field around us. Additionally, there is new and unprecedented public funding entering the early childhood education system. We embarked on this strategic realignment to ensure we can draw on all the resources in the current environment. It’s a new landscape, and we’re changing it in order to best serve children, families, and communities.
Why is restructuring happening?
We will operate just as we have been for the 2023-2024 school year. Now that we have our next lead organization, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE), officially on board, they will begin planning for the 2024-2025 school year. From now until July 1, 2024 operations will remain consistent, and any changes after July 1 will be communicated to you by the SCCOE.
